Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all had a great Holiday season spent surrounded by the people you love! If like me- you're still trying to pull together a fantastic NYE outfit don't worry, still lots of time to grab something shiny before the clock strikes midnight.
I loved being home with my family for Christmas this year. Not only did I get the chance to spend some time with them but coming back to Windsor meant that I finally got a wardrobe change! BONUS! Honestly- a girl can only live out of one luggage for so long. So over these past few weeks I've made the switch between warm Dallas clothes and prepared for Montreal winter clothing. Basically got rid of all the colour and added a whole lot of black to my luggage.
Don't get me wrong, just because it's miserable and cold outside does not mean that you have to throw all fashion sense out the window! There are still ways to manage to be stylish and express yourself through the winter and all its black. On Christmas Day I decided to pair a croped rosette sweater with a recently aquired Express midi skirt (yes, in black). I added a pop of colour (that lasted me through all of the courses of Nonna's meal) with a Beso lipstain by Stila.
In a surprise gift to our parents, nonni and grandparents my brothers and I had a secret photoshoot! I think that personal gifts are so much more special than anything bought from a store. I mean I love getting that one thing I've been wanting to invest in as much as the next person, but in the spirit of Christmas we wanted to pull at the heart-strings. We decided to be casual and so I wore a super comfy (and affordable) Banana Republic wrap dress, accessorized with an American Eagle wool floppy hat and a soft Gap scarf.
