Fall in Love (with wedding planning)
I can't believe we're already at the end of August and there is little more than a month left before our Canadian wedding. Everything is coming into place and Michelangelo and I are both getting quite excited to re-live our special day with our Canadian friends and family!
After planning one wedding I thought that I would hop right back into planning the second, but it's a lot of work and I really needed the honeymoon break in between to re-energize before starting it all again.
One thing that really helped me get inspired to get going...these gorgeous invitations! Seeing my dream of having a fall themed wedding come to life was just what I needed to start working on all the other aspects of the wedding planning process. Lyndsay and Lisa at Elle and Em Design really made me "fall in love" with them all over again! I am so excited to be collaborating with them for our Canadian wedding! With only a few Skype calls they knew exactly what I had imagined for the romantic Italian wedding, and now they understood the perfect way to representing our fall celebration in a timeless and elegant manner.
If you missed my last post about these two fabulous women, be sure to check out the Dream Team page over in the wedding section, where you can learn all about them and more about what they can create for your events.
Any other brides planning a destination wedding? My advice, although it can be stressful at times, because you're not there to meet with vendors and actually see your options, remember that you're working with professionals who know what they are doing. In most cases once you have your colour pallet picked out, they will work to make sure all the elements tie into that so there is a general harmony in the ceremony and reception.
Finally, whenever possible I suggest hiring a wedding planner because they can help take the stress off the day to day organization and liaisoning between vendors. They are experts in their cities and will have worked with many of your vendors in the past.
