Weekly round-up: Style x Borders
What a week, it flew by (so many outfits so little time) but I had the best time sharing everything with you! I hope you all enjoyed the 6 fall must have items that Emilie and I styled this week - what was your favourite?
Looking back I love the fact that each day Emilie and I both used the same item in very different ways, giving you two looks to be inspired by when transitioning your wardrobe into the fall!
Here's a round up of our 6 go-to items for this fall:
Fall floral print
Fur outerwear / accessory
Canadian tuxedo aka jeans on jeans
Remember that I always link where I bought pieces from by tapping on my Instagram photo (just incase if you want to get to the store to get one for yourself ASAP) but below you'll find more details about where I got each piece as well as tips to make each style your own! 😉
For a look back on all of Emilie's outfits (and to keep up with her fab life in Ottawa) be sure to follow her on Instagram & Facebook!
Thank you to all of you who commented this week - I love getting feedback from you! Let me know what you would like me to focus on next by sending me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or contact me via Instagram, Facebook or by commenting below !
The Fall Floral
Style tip: adding a floral print in the fall might seem hard but to make the transition easier be sure to pick a print with a darker undertone
Skirt: H&M (available now!)
The Leather Jacket
Style tip: sometimes (depending on the style) leather jackets can be a bit edgy and give you a "rocker" look. If like me you feel like you have a hard time pulling that off, then pair the jacket with a super feminine outfit. The contract will look super cool and you'll still feel very comfortable with your style
Skirt: Zara (similar styles available now)
Top: Zara (available now and in other colours)
Jacket: Vintage (check out your local vintage shops for some real gems)
The Fall Hat
Style tip: throw on a fall hat whenever you feel like your outfit is "too basic" (like a plain LBD) or on days when you just don't feel like doing your hair 😉
Hat: Zara (Similar styles at H&M and Banana Republic)
Dress: Banana Repiblic (Similar styles at DVF)
The Fur Piece
Style tip: less is more with a strong statement fur piece - keep to one colour underneath but kick up the sexy by adding a strong lip 😘
Fur: Zara (Similar styles at Massimo Dutti)
Dress: Vintage (Similar styles at
Lips: Mac "Russian Red"
The Canadian Tuxedo
Style tip: if leaving the house wearing jeans on jeans scares you then you can take baby steps and start by wearing a darker shade jeans on the bottom and a lighter colour jean jacket on top !
Jumpsuit: Gap (Similar style at H&M)
Shoes: H&M (similar styles at Aldo)
The Jersey Dress
Style tip: if wearing a jersey dress to the office add a pair of heels (nude made your legs go on for days) and a blazer or kimono overtop. For the weekend throw on a contasting button up boyfriend shirt - and belt it (don't ever loose your waist)!
Dress: Abercrombie & Fitch (Similar styles at H&M, RW&Co, Zara)
Belt: H&M (available now)
Shoes: Zara (similar styles available at Aldo)
